Many of you are using Time Machine, the wonderful backup system built into Leopard. Time Machine however out of box will use up all the disk space on an external drive or a server volume which is not a good thing.
You can however limit how much disk space Time Machine uses with this simple Terminal command:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine MaxSize 102400
Specify the size at the end in megabytes, in this case above i’ve specified 100GB. (1024MB = 1GB)
